Christmas Devotion: The 12 Days of Christmas | Ep. 098

Christmas doesn’t end on Christmas Day – as a matter of fact, it’s just beginning! The 12 days of Christmas is the shortest season in the Church Year. Day 1 is Christmas Day. The last day of the Christmas season is January 5th, the day before Epiphany. During Christmastide, the Church also celebrates some Holy Days: The Feast of Stephen, the Feast Day of St. John, the Feast of the Holy Innocents, and the Circumcision and the Name of Jesus. We learn more about these special days of Christmas on this episode of Donuts and Devos.

Silent night, Holy night
All is calm, all is bright
Round yon virgin, mother and child
Holy infant, tender and mild
Sleep in heavenly peace,
Sleep in heavenly peace.

Silent night, Holy night
Son of God, love’s pure light
Radiant beams from thy holy face
With the dawn of redeeming grace,
Jesus, Lord at thy birth
Jesus, Lord at thy birth.

Silent night, Holy night
Shepherds quake, at the sight
Glories stream from heaven above
Heavenly, hosts sing Hallelujah.
Christ the Savior is born,
Christ the Savior is born.

Verses 1, 2, and 3 of “Silent Night”
