Jacob is heading back to his homeland with his family and all his wealth that the Lord has given him the past 20 years while he worked for his uncle Laban. He’s gotten word that his brother Esau is coming to meet him and, as we talked about in our devotion last time, Jacob is afraid at how Esau will react to him! He hears that Esau is coming with 400 men and is very worried! Our Bible story takes place the exact same night…and what an interesting night it turns out to be for Jacob!
